Sweetly Dwelling

Leslie Wiegand: 3rd Entry on Dwelling
Another last minute bail out painting. I started a larger piece of work which of course wasn't finished and slowly drifted away from the topic.
This one's about dwelling in my camper. Dwelling seems impermanent, like not a home, like a stagnant cesspool, catch my drift? What's on the outside is curious and scary.

Perfect Day

Leslie Wiegand: 1st entry on perfection
The truth is I have been working on this for weeks, and just can't get no satisfaction. It seems to me that every new mark is shitastic. I should have left it at the beginning when it looked more like a Rorschach inkblot test. Anyways, someone help me. Is it done? Any suggestions? I promised myself I would take this to Rebel Rebel to hang for sale TODAY...

Blue Christmas

Leslie Wiegand: 2nd entry.
When Geneva suggested memories or isolation, I thought I would just paint another old 60's slide. But no, to keep it real my subject is from Xmas 2006. This small painting depicts the view from my camper... damp, cold, tiny, lonely camper. I lived here a few months in my Aunt's driveway, overlooking Victoria with its large sequoia decorated with lights.
